The company was established in 1949 by Doris Irons. In 1979 Doris retired and the business ownership was assumed by her daughter, Pat Bliss. Pat moved the business from Kansas City, Missouri to the nearby city of Lee's Summit, Missouri. She renamed the company Patricia Bliss Accounting & Tax Service, Inc. soon after. At the close of 2002, Pat retired and sold the business to Jeanie Grady an employee of the firm. The company is now called Accounting & Tax Solutions, Inc.
